On Thursday 17 August the Department of Health & Social Care invited care workers and unpaid carers to a reception at Number 10 Downing Street.

The Minister for Care, Helen Whateley MP, opened the event, which was held to recognise the contribution of care workers and the role of social care in society.

Unpaid carers Rebekah and Jayne, along with our chief executive Helen Walker attended the reception, meeting with a variety of people working in social care and sharing their experiences of caring for relatives.
