Hear about Scotland's new Carers Strategy, learn about enabling greater independent living through technology, talk about social connections, reducing isolation and employability, find help with the cost of living.

Carers Scotland are pleased to announce the date for our Carers Summit on 16 March 2023. This will be a hybrid event, held online and at COSLA’s conference centre in Edinburgh. Invited speakers include Leuchie House, the Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care, Kevin Stewart and carers themselves.

There will also be the opportunity to talk about and contribute to the development of policy and information on rebuilding social connections and networks, tackling isolation and loneliness and on employability and education.

We will also host information stalls from a range of organisations to provide help and advice with the cost of living.

There will be approximately 60 in-person places available and up to 90 online.  In the event we are oversubscribed for in person places, we may offer you an online place instead.

Register to attend

If you would like more information about the event, please contact Rhonda Fitzpatrick at Carers Scotland on rhonda.fitzpatrick@carerscotland.org.

Unfortunately due to limitations of funds, we are sorry that we will be unable to offer carer travel expenses to this event.
