Wednesday 15 March: 11am - 12pm: Mindfulness

Lose yourself for an hour of mindfulness meditation with 'Mindfulness' Mike.

It's easy to get caught up in a pattern of swirling thoughts—thinking about a laundry list of things that need to be done, ruminating on past events, or could-be situations of the future—and learning mindfulness can help. But what exactly is mindfulness?

It can be defined as a mental state that involves being fully focused on "the now" so you can acknowledge and accept your thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. Mindfulness meditation is a mental training practice that teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity, and calm both your mind and body.

Monday 20 March: 2.00-3.00pm: Caring for someone with a brain injury

In this session, we'll be joined by Headway - a UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury by providing vital support and information services. If you're caring for someone with a brain injury then come along to this session and meet other carers and get your questions answered.

Tuesday 28 March: 2.30-3.30pm: Carer to Carer tips

Getting support from your peers can be a lifeline for you when caring. Join us for a cuppa and chat with other carers where you can share tips and experiences in caring. The session will be facilitated by an experienced volunteer with caring experience.

Thursday 30 March: 2.30 - 3.30pm - Spotlight On: Jointly for Carers

Are you looking after someone? Come and join us to find out more about the brilliant Jointly app. Jointly combines group messaging and to-do lists with other useful features, including medication lists, calendar and more to help you keep on top of things.
