Congratulations to EfC member and our partners, the Northern Health and Social Care Trust (NHSCT), who recently won the Inspire Workplace Wellbeing Innovation Award for their offer of Employers for Carers membership and subscription to our Digital Resource for Carers (DRC).

To date, the NHSCT is the only organisation in Northern Ireland, across both the public and private sector, to have a partnership with Carers UK through Employers for Carers membership and corporate access to the Jointly app (as part of the DRC).

The award recognises the pioneering and innovative partnerships approach with the voluntary sector for the region of Northern Ireland and shows that the NHSCT are mindful of, and prioritise, the mental health and wellbeing of their staff, especially those who combine work and care.

Our colleagues Clare-Anne and Lyn from Carers Northern Ireland are pictured above with the award, alongside the Equality Unit/Carer Support Team, and a carer from the NHSCT.

We value our staff who have caring responsibilities at home and by working with Carers NI/UK and Employers for Carers we now offer them the tools to help them to stay in employment.
