This briefing document has been produced by Carers UK as part of the Carers Partnership for the Health and Wellbeing Alliance. It was co-produced with unpaid carers, local carer organisations and NHS England organisations. We hope that it will help clarify what virtual wards are for unpaid carers and local carers organisations, so that they are better placed to support and inform unpaid carers who are offered the option of a virtual ward, or are already caring for someone on one.
