Passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II

09 September 2022

Mae newyddion wedi’i gyhoeddi am farwolaeth Ein Mawrhydi y Frenhines Elizabeth II. Bu’n arweinydd y Deyrnas Unedig am fwy na saith deg mlynedd ac mae’r newyddion am ei marwolaeth yn achos trist iawn i lawer ohonom yn Carers UK, ein haelodau, gwirfoddolwyr a gofalwyr di-dâl ledled y Deyrnas Unedig.

Fel cenedl rydym bellach wedi dechrau cyfnod o alaru ac wedi penderfynu y bydd angen i Carers UK addasu sut mae’n gweithio drwy’r cyfnod hwn a bydd ar gau yn gyfan gwbl ar Ddiwrnod Cenedlaethol y Galar. Yn ystod y cyfnod hwn bydd rhai o'n gwasanaethau hefyd yn cael eu heffeithio, yn ogystal â chyfarfodydd a digwyddiadau wyneb yn wyneb a drefnwyd ymlaen llaw: byddwn yn cysylltu â'r rhai yr effeithir arnynt cyn gynted ag y gallwn.

Rydym yn gwerthfawrogi y gallai’r newyddion hwn achosi ymateb emosiynol i lawer o ofalwyr, felly mae ein Llinell Gymorth wedi’i gynllunio i aros ar agor yn ystod ein horiau arferol, o 9am-6pm o ddydd Llun i ddydd Gwener. Gellir cysylltu â thîm ein Llinell Gymorth drwy e-bost a trwy This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. neu dros y ffôn ar 0808 808 7777.

Mae ein meddyliau gyda’r Teulu Brenhinol a dinasyddion y Deyrnas Unedig yn yr adeg anodd hon.

News has been announced of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. She had been the figurehead for the United Kingdom for more than seventy years and the news of her death is a cause of great sadness to many of us at Carers UK, our members, volunteers and unpaid carers throughout the United Kingdom.

As a nation we have now entered a period of mourning and have decided that Carers UK will need to adjust how it works through this period and shall be closed completely on the National Day of Mourning. During this time some of our services will also be affected, as will pre-arranged face-to-face meetings and events: we will be in touch with those affected as soon as we can.

We appreciate that this news may cause an emotional response for many carers, so our Helpline is planned to remain open during our regular hours, from 9am-6pm Monday to Friday. Our Helpline team can be contacted via email on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by telephone on 0808 808 7777.

Our thoughts are with the Royal Family and citizens of the United Kingdom who are affected at this difficult time.
