Telehealthcare is the term used to describe the use of telecare and telehealth to enable people to live with greater safety and independence in their own home.

Telehealthcare Training Toolkit

This training toolkit was produced in partnership with the Joint Improvement team and Scottish Centre for Telehealth and Telecare. It was updated in June 2014 and is designed to support health and social care and carers' organisations to facilitate a range of awareness raising and training sessions for staff and carers on carers' issues and the benefits of telehealthcare.

The toolkit is split into four different sections:

  • Training resources for carers
  • Training resources for professionals (30 minute, one hour or half-day sessions)
  • Digital case studies
  • Further reading

Designed to be flexible and adaptable, the training resources can be embedded in existing training programmes for professionals and carers or stand alone as separate training modules.

Each training session includes a key facts handout and quiz which are common to each of the programmes.

Our digital case studies can be used to complement your training programme, or used as standalone awareness raising resources. They can also be embedded on your website, downloaded, or you can request a free hard copy on a single integrated DVD.
