Carers Rights Day 2017 is on Friday 24 November, and this year's theme is:
Make Connections, Get support

Planning to hold an activity in your local community to help carers in your local community find out about their rights? Sign up to get everything you need!

As Carers Rights Day 2017 is around the corner, it is unlikely that resources will arrive by Carers Rights Day itself. However you can still register and order resources up until Carers Rights Day.

Whether you host a coffee morning, benefits drop-in session or an information stand, there are loads of ways that your group can get involved and help us get information and advice to carers.

When you sign up we'll keep you up to date with the latest news, activity ideas and resources through our Carers Rights Day email updates. You'll also be able to order your free Carers Rights Day pack, containing 20 copies of our new 2018 edition of the Carers Rights Guide, an accessible guide for carers to the practical and financial support available. Order packs by Friday 17 November to guarantee that you get them in time for Carers Rights Day.

Looking for inspiration? Here's what some organisations got up to last year:

  • Midland Mencap & Birmingham Carers Hub held an event with the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery to raise the profile of carers and their rights
  • Kernow Carers Service held mini forums across the county to let carers raise their concerns and have their voices heard
  • Pembrokeshire County Council held an in-house conference for staff raising awareness of carers
  • London Borough of Hounslow held a market stall for carers to come in and get information, advice and help.
