Membership terms and conditions
You will receive a welcome pack with your membership number and a copy of our member magazine, Caring, currently produced four times a year.
Membership will run for 12 months from the date of joining. We will contact you in advance of the renewal date to invite you to continue membership of Carers UK.
As a member, you have the right to vote in elections for vacancies on our Board of Trustees and in relation to motions put forward to our Annual General Meeting or Extraordinary General Meeting.

Carers UK reserves the right to refuse or terminate membership if the member behaves in a manner that contravenes Carers UK's code of conduct
Code of Conduct
Carers UK wants everyone who comes into contact with our organisation to be treated in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Carers UK expects courtesy and co-operation to be shown towards all staff and volunteers at any Carers UK event, activity or meeting.
Carers UK expects people to act in such a way that Carers UK is not brought into disrepute.
Abusive or aggressive behaviour towards people working or volunteering for Carers UK or towards people attending Carers UK events or activites will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Carers UK takes a zero tolerance approach to harassment. No-one should be subject to intimidation or made to feel alarmed or distressed or put in fear of reprisal. Harassment is a criminal offence. To that end Carers UK adopts a zero tolerance towards all type of harassment activity.
Harassment may be defined as causing alarm, distress and anxiety and fear of physical violence or other threat, offensive statements, verbal abuse and threats.
Conduct may include speech, obstruction and so on. As such conduct may involve a criminal offence the police may be involved and it may be that Carers UK will defer any action pending the outcome of such investigation and/or prosecution.
