Share your ideas about the practical side of caring.
My wife is extremely unsteady on her feet when getting out
of bed first thing in the morning.

So........I now make her do kicking up and bending knees exercises whilst
still laying in bed first thing.
Also with her zimmer in place to do some, 'marching on the spot' before
setting off to the bathroom......

....I'm her drill sergeant. "Left, right, left, right. Pick them up there!" :lol:

She doesn't much like all this but it's kind to be cruel at times if it stops
her from falling over first thing and it seems to work.
Sounds like a really good idea. I do lots of 'bed exercises' before I get up in the morning, to stretch and warm my legs up etc, and I do find it helps. My husband did likewise for his chronic back pain.

Can you reward your wife with a nice cup of tea in bed! (That's a luxury I ADORE - being brought a cup of tea in bed before I get up!)

Once upon a time my wife bought ME a cup of tea in bed every morning...........

Don't think I'd like to try marching on the spot just before setting off to the bathroom - asking for leaks as far as many of us women are concerned. Good idea all the same.
Totally agree. I KNEW I should have done those damn pelvic floor exercises! (I bought the kit, but it just sat in my top drawer for years...too late now!)

Sorry - too much information, I know!
The kit sounded so revolting I didn't buy one! perhaps I should have!
