I have recently had great difficulty in finding shoes for my mum who has dementia and is now in a care home.

After a very unsuccessful and difficult trip to the shops - albeit I must say that the staff were brilliant - I came across a Company who will actually visit care homes with a selection of shoes for you to choose from.

I am not sure if it is ok to promote specific companys on this forum so will wait for guidance/feedback on this.

The main reason for posting this is that I was pleasantly surprised to discover that you do not have to pay VAT on shoes, disability aids etc for someone who is suffering from a mental illness.
