Dear Deborah, the Bradford Score was a legitimate tool when it was first devised- but unfortunately like lots of things it's been abused by employers. I've a friend who's score ran into thousands! - she said 'I don't care - it's supposed to indicate how stressed I am, not that I'm due for the sack!!'. she after a very long process got moved to somewhere less stressful.
Getting back to your own situation, if your still the carer for your Dad - despite him being in a home -there's the 'work/life' balance route you can go down. It's not just about whether you're looking after kids these days - parents count too - so you should get your Union rep. onto that too - but to be honest he doesn't sound very good. You can ask for another Rep. But I wish you all the best at a very stressful timexxx
