New to this

Hi im new to this. Im a single mum ive had to give up work as My son has recently become disabled and it has been a fight every minute from school hospitals etc. Feeling very alone lost and out of my comfort zone. Finally getting somewhere with things but feel very isolated noone seems to understand so thought id try see how this goes

Hello Laura and welcome to the forum.
You've come to the right place here at Carers UK. I understand how you feel. As a carer to my elderly mum I sometimes feel isolated and rather taken for granted. Fortunately my mum can cope on her own for awhile plus my adult son helps her too. The last year has been a difficult one for everyone but especially us carers. Next week the restrictions are being lifted so hopefully that will help all of us in one way or another.
To be honest - it must be difficult to imagine what it's like being a carer. Plus all the emotions that go with it.
It is very important that we all look after ourselves as best as we can.
