Is this for yourself or your caree? Have you had an assessment to see what is causing it. A few random thoughts, pain killers, yoga, chiropractor, assessing posture at desk/driving and avoiding lifting/doing it with correct posture.
Definitely find out the nature of the pain. Muscles or bones? Then work out how to avoid upsetting it again. Hevay lifting? Get a hoist.Gardening? Try a little and often, with a day or two inbetween, for ideas.
