Carer to my husband who has COPD

My name is Mags and I live in west lothian, Scotland. I have been caring for my hubby Bill for 5 years. He has Chronic Obstructive Pulmary Disease. ( a smoking related illness) Thankfully he no longer smokes, however the damage has been done and he will never recover. His mobility is severely affected by this illness and he is relatively housebound now.
Hoping to find some new friends and some listening ears on this forum.

Hi there Mags,
Welcome to the forum from me too! When my Dad passed away I cared for my Mum who had (amongst other things) COPD. It is a horrible, horrible disease and I know life can be a bit of a rollercoaster with up and down days.

Good to have you on board here - take a look at roll call in the Carer to Carer section too, there is usually someone around to have a "chat" with.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I will in time take a look at all the sections, and give you updates or concerns I have in being a carer.
I have my own health issues which makes being a carer to hubby difficult at times. So its even good to have somewhere to come, to 'sound-off' if I need to.

Hello Mags.....I too am a carer to my hubby who has (COPD) and has had it for 10yrs and is getting worse....there is more bad days than good at the moment!!!!
