Carer for my wife with paranoid schizophrenia

Hi,
My name is Derek, aged 59, living in Somerset married for 38 years with two daughters and two grand daughters, I have been a carer for my wife for over 13 years, the last year being full time carer. Unfortunately my wife, aged 57, suffers from paranoid schizofrenia which has a dramatic affect on not only her life but sadly mine also, I suffer from depression. Because of the paranoia my wife refuses to have any dealings with any medical services including doctors, nurses health visitors I on the other hand have to deal with the local mental health team, but their treatment of my illness is compromised as the underlying cause of my illness is my wifes illness.
I am looking for help, guidance pointers etc, in my lone effort of caring.
Thanks for the use of the site, I look forward to posting and answering posts on here.
