Sorry if this sounds terrible but this is the only place I can discuss without offending family/friends. Since dad passed away I haven't had any cards or flowers. I always send to others in difficult circumstances such as bereavement or illness.

Dear Marie,

that is so sad - but as it was only last week that your dear Dad passed away perhaps cards have been held up in the Easter and weekend post ? Hopefully some will arrive in the next day or so.

I remember when my Mum passed away it was a few days before cards and letters started to plop through the letter box and some didn't arrive until much nearer her funeral.

You have no need to apologise here Marie, we all understand. Plus your emotions will be so very raw at the moment that 'touchy' probably doesn't do justice to the way you really feel.
