help for carers

For anyone who is bereaved or no longer providing care.
Hi. Your post makes me thankful that I've had 46 years with my hubby before the dreaded dementia has started to take him ( must be 2 years ago when it started to rear its head). Obviously we had our ups and downs I try to count my blessings. We've been married for 48years. You take care xx
Have you thought about caring for someone with a learning disability? My son needs a "substitute mum" ie someone to go shopping with him, cook food, take him out. If you are not sure, why not find a local service designed for those with LD? Then you wouldn't be reminded directly of mum.
