However much one 'knows' it's going to happen, however much warning and preparation you think you've made, when it happens, it's like a bolt from heaven, devastating and unbelievable.
I hope, as the others say too, that it was peaceful for her, and that you had time to say to her what you wanted to say.
It's far too raw now, I know, but she is released from the belagured body and mind that was beseiging her, released out of time's prison, and into the freedom of eternity.
