Iain Duncan Smith: I could live on £53 a week

All about money
His breakfasts are £35 a day!!
he is going to ignore those signatures, over 300,000 this morning, just laugh it off as a "stunt." Coward.
I would like him to do shopping, pay bills etc. on £53, but no doubt he will be coward. None of those tory boys live in the real world.
the funny thing is i bet he has never had or seen £53 in his life time.
Actually, apparently, he's seen less, according this this article in the Telegraph.....

And lived illegally in a bedsit too. He claims he never claimed benefits while unemployed. However, his wife-to-be was working as a secretary so they *must* have lived off her wage.

Did you also see the report where George Osbourne was spotted parked in a disabled bay?

And the report where he tried to travel 1st Class on a Standard ticket?

Makes you sick, doesn't it?!
Yes Image
IDS of course claims that he's lived through straitened times twice before. He did not claim benefits because he had savings to live off.

So that's alright then, surely everyone else should do the same. Image The man is totally clueless.

George Osbourne didn't park in a disabled bay, his driver did & ministerial vehicles are not bound by the normal Road Traffic Acts which is why they can drive into Downing St or drive at speed if in danger. It's normal security practice to park as close as possible to an entrance regardless of the parking restrictions that apply to the rest of us.
even the police in an emergency are not supposed to park in disabled parking bays, and the driver was a police driver. The parking has not gone down well in Wales, where he was at the time.

Lazydaisy

I've gone off topic a bit but I think you'll find that ministerial cars & security service vehicles can park where they want to park. I've driven official vehicles that could not be stopped & checked by the police & which carried different sets of number plates that we could change as & when we wanted to.
