Fantastic, thank you Matt. Image
No thanks Matt,

I take a really bad photo, like most of the great unwashed, but good luck anyway. I' suprised you didn't pick a celebraty, or something. Confidentiality as many have already stated is also a real concern, big brother is getting bigger as it is. Looking forward to seeing how it goes, supporting you all as always, as we support eachother.

We have some celebs up at http://www.carersuk.org/Aboutus/CelebritySupporters

But it is more effective to profile "real" people. Not that celebs aren;t also real people but you know what I mean!
http://www.carersuk.org/Aboutus/Whoarecarers

We have a squad of about 100 carers who are media case studies that we call on to do radio, press, tv etc and we always need more. Obviously most people would not be able to do it for so many reasons and we understand that. Don't think I could do it, I have a lot of admiration for those who do.

Matt
Happy to update my profile with more info. I'm afraid I am one of the reluctant ones with regard to photos too, it's pretty astounding where images can end up these days. Especially someone like me, who is stunning, skin like silk, hair that shines like golden rays of sunlight, eyes the colour of bluebells, a figure like a goddess .... and if you believe that Image ... as soon as I can find a jpg that comes close to that description, I'll post it!
i will do it,, just use me facebook pic

Pix,do you keep a daily diary?. I think if you were ever to write a book it would be a best seller.
You can use me if you like. Image
i dont keep a diary any more rosemary, I do think though about trying to write a book about looking after a wonky kid though and how to get through it (close pegs on nose ect!)

See me and dorothy are not not ashamed to pop our mugs up for the fight of carers (Im trying to guilt trip u all mwhahahahaha)
Thanks both of you - here's a reminder of what I'm after and the email address
Profiles will be 250-300 words and I would need you to supply a photo of yourself.

I would like you to talk about some or all of these points.

- Who you are and who you care for
- Your life before caring, how it has changed
- How caring affects your life - Good and bad
- What do you want to see change for carers
- What Carers UK means to you

If you're interested can you email me - matt.hill@carersuk.org
Also have a read of the ones up there at
http://www.carersuk.org/Aboutus/Whoarecarers

They may not go up straight away as I need to add new ones as we go throguhout the year but I still need them.
Matt, I don't use any social networking sites but I do have a Caring Blog maybe you could link to? Image
It's @

http://mazcarer.blogspot.com/

It's an online journal and covers a lot of my caring role and how things are with us both.
