One of my Mum's Favorite saying's.
Was Once Bitten Twice shy.

1. My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE .
'If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning.'

2. My mother taught me RELIGION.
'You better pray that will come out of the carpet.'

3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL.
'If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!'

4. My mother taught me LOGIC.
' Because I said so, that's why.'

25. And my favorite: My mother taught me about JUSTICE

My Mum always says "You die if you worry, you die if you don't ...... so why worry?"

She is 83 and her Mother always told her this and she lived to about 90. I like this saying because it's positive and it does make you think!

It's not so much what my Mum says, I admire her for the way she has the courage and fearlessness to speak her mind. I also respect and admire her ability to reason and her wisdom and life experience, and the fact that we can be best friends as well as respecting her as my Mum......plus she makes me laugh so much! When my daughter was going through a period of low self-esteem, Mum would tell her, 'Always say to yourself, I'm as good as any and better than many'. It worked!
