Us "oldies" (

) deciding what is going to be useful or what name to call it is not quite what I had in mind really.
It would probably be a much better idea if some of the younger members of the forum (sorry, Young Carers makes me think of teenagers) to tell us what they think is missing and if there is anythng that can be done about here.
A forum page is one idea but would there be the call for it-enough people using it? Would it be just for them, would anyone be able to participate in answering questions or would it be totally seperate..
Nope, I'm not being an awkward cuss but I have seen these problems crop up elsewhere. There is no guarantee that this forum can provide what Holly feels is missing but let's see what they suggest first.
Malc, the issue of "cliqueness" (is that even a word?

). To be honest, I haven't noticed posts being ignored but if they have, it is more than likely an oversight, honest. I posted something on another forum the other day, I was feeliing very low but didn't want to leave a newbie unanswered. I didn't have the exact experience he was looking for but quite close so I answered him telling I hope it helped anyway.
One other person answered him. He thanked her profusely then asked her some more questions. I felt totally ignored and also wondered why the hell I had bothered, I didn't expect effusive thanks but just an acknowledgement would have been nice!
So, yes..I know what you mean. Thing is with every forum, it is the nature of the place that if you contribute regularly, you get to know others. Not necessarily by PM but just by reading their posts.
The minute I see your name, I automatically think of you as being the carer for your young wife who has Alzheimers. The fact that we know each others situations may sometimes come across to a newbie as a clique, where it is not the case at all.
The whole point of a forum is to show support (and get it) from each other. This is probably one of the least "cliquey" (another suspect word

) that I have come across.
