Carers can learn about services

RETHINK carers service is holding a day event for families, friends, partners and carers of people with mental health problems on Saturday, November 10.
From 10am to 3pm, at Westgate Church, Peterborough, the event will have speakers from Greater Peterborough Primary Care Partnership, the Mental Health Trust and Rethink.

It is an opportunity for carers to learn more about local services for people with a mental illness.

There will also be complementary therapies, art and music therapy, relaxation techniques and a line dancing demonstration and lesson for people to have a go at – as well as information stands, professionals to ask questions to and a buffet lunch.

The event will also be an opportunity for carers to meet with other carers and share experiences.

The event is being organised by the local Rethink project for mental health carers in Peterborough and Fenland with sponsorship from the Cambridge, Peterborough and Fenland Rethink Carers Group. It is a free event for mental health carers.
