Hello
my son 33 autistic has been so poorly with a sever eye condition for two years, though not completley ok he will be going back to his day service this month. I want to take him on a cruise this summer, any advice please - don't want to fly so leaving from Southhamton would be good.
hello Derby, wehave cruised from Southampton a couple of times now. We have cruised with PandO but there are several cruise companies that sail out of Southampton, also some sail from Dover or harwich. P&O, Cunard and the like are large ships. Fred Olsen have smaller ships. You need to consult with a Travel Agent. Or there are Criuse clubs like Bolsover or Cruise Kings. One company whose brochure I have is Travelscope, they seem to have smaller ships too. P&O are good for folk with a disability. Cruising is good as you can be occupied or do your own thing, accessibilty seems good on board P&O. If you have any worries re seasickness don't worry too much. The recommendation seems to be sturgeon or phenergan tablets as the most effective tablets. I could go on, let me know if you want to know more. There is a website that may be of interest but I will need to post it later as I don't know it off hand. Sue. Just another thought embarkation is easy at Southampton.
