Well done for sticking up for you!!!! Image Image Image
Amazing what can be achieved when you don't just take what they tell you you 'have'

Hope you're going to do something nice for the weekend.

As I have said before..........the only thing one HAS to do is give name, address and date of birth to a serving police officer".

Take care

Hello Brogusblue.

Glad for you that your finally getting the right help with your mum, Hopefully now they can see you cant cope with her back full time so will arrange something else after this rehab shes going into.

Hopefully your meds will kick in soon i know this morning you said you were feeling better in yourself, maybe a combination of meds and being listened too.

Enjoy your day out today.,

Tracey x

I had a phone call last night from the home where mum is they dropped the nebuliser and broken the piping .. Good job i had a spare as its expensive to replace, Anyway i was talking to the home last night and the social are in no rush to move mum at moment as she is on antibiotics for chest infection they run out on thursday.. so i sounds like mums in respite for another week and then rehab for how long i have no idea??

As for benefits i didn't realise that you had to inform the dwp ..oppps .. I will ring tomorrow and find out whats going to happen to mums dla, pension credit, housing benefit also my carers allowance and income support..

I know someone who got into a pickle with the benefits office when their disabled son left for residential care, so that's why I mentioned it at this stage. Much better to know sooner rather than later.

What a morning... Just spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone to various benefits people .. All sorted of sorts my carers allowance finishes on the 18th march and my income support will go on for another 4/8 weeks after, Just started a claim for esa from the 19th march..

Mums dla will stop on the 20th march.. Housing beneift is ok for for 52 weeks unless mum goes in a home and then i can ask for this flat for myself..

Pleased things are going to plan and you have been able to sort out benefits and know you have a roof over your head whatever happens. Sometimes it helps to get someone who really knows their stuff at the benefits agency........usually I feel I have phoned Argos by mistake as some of the staff haven`t got a clue.

Hope the rest of the week works well for you.

Take care
Meg

Considering some of the daft things they tell you, you might be better off with Argos Image Image

Glad you got it all sorted Brogusblue Image Image
