Mental Health Awareness Week

Share information, support and advice on all aspects of caring.
As you may know this week (18th-24th of May 2020) is Mental Health Awareness Week with this year’s theme being kindness.

We wanted to start the week by sharing with you the different support available to you to look after your mental health and different ways you can get involved in Mental Health Awareness Week.

Looking after your mental health:
  • Visit our ‘Coronavirus - protecting your mental wellbeing’ web pages https://www.carersuk.org/help-and-advic ... -wellbeing: These tips are designed to help both you and those you care for look after yourselves and protect your mental wellbeing.
    • Visit the Mental Health Awareness Week ‘Your Mental Health’ pages: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/your-mental-health They have a range of content designed to give you more information about mental health and to help you to look after your mental health. These include podcasts, videos, inspiring stories and information about getting help if you're struggling.
Getting involved:
  • Join our Share and Learn session on Mental Health, this week we are joined by the team from Mind in Harrow to talk about mental health. If you would like to join please follow this link to register https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/registe ... -s47ipapvP
    • Join in online: The aim of Mental Health Awareness Week is to get the nation talking about kindness and mental health. Join in online, you can even reach people from around the world. During the week, they are encouraging people to carry out or reflect on an act of kindness. Take a photo or video (with permission!) and use the hashtags #KindnessMatters and #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek. You can also share your ideas on how you think we could build a kinder society that would support our mental health using the same hashtags above.
