dont forget to turn the lights off GORDON

Share information, support and advice on all aspects of caring.
If GORDON and all the other educated idiots within government want to get the general public onside he should scrap all the pensioner credits and heating allowances and other benefits for pensioners and put the lot onto the basic pension also pensioner who are carers should get the carers allowance .

the rumour of all disabled benefits and allowances being stopped and given to social services / local authorities would be open to more abuse than carers looking after the cash .

if he is listening we as carers should be looking forward to an increase in the carers allowance if we dont get anything at all we or should i say carers uk should go on the offensive and get as much publicity as possible at this moment in time the government will never take us on they have far to much to lose like the next election .

Ooooh That is fighting talk George, go get em Image

Any announcement that fails to address the financial issues for carers has failed right off.

It makes no difference what they decide they want us to have,or what they decide to push forward, they have been TOLD time and time again wherein the problems lie for the majority.

Many carers/disabled are struggling now and as this credit crunch worsens just how are they expected to cope.Food prices are rocketing, fuel prices getting ridiculously high, utility bills going through the roof.

We have campaign after campaign by various groups and here are a few....

There are so many more which cover so many issues.

On top of the campaigns,we have the many petitions submitted, the letters sent, the emails and visits to local MPs.Over the last few years just how many carers have attended events held by either the Government, carer groups both nationally and locally and even those held by LA's themselves.

Quote from GB
Perhaps most importantly, we will continue to take account of what carers and the organisations which represent them TELL us
He has been TOLD,not just by the organisations but by carers themselves.

The time has come for him and Ivan Lewis and Co to show just how much they have heard.

.
Thats all you carers do moan, moan, moan, and i love doing it no way will all of the carers problems be solved iam expecting nowt some of us will be happy if we just stay the same and no tinkering with carers allowance .

Common sense would say kick it all off on 9th June at the beginning of Carers Week but who knows.

They're off now until 2nd June then they break up on 22nd July - 6th October.

Why they have so long is anyone's guess Image
