Dad’s care package has been cut- I can’t cope anymore

Share information, support and advice on all aspects of caring.
Hi Faye
I am so sorry to hear of your father's decline and inadequate care. Please report these issues to the Care Quality Comission and give specific examples. If no one reports things, such practice is allowed to continue. I hope your father's health improves soon.

Ditto. And do try to note things down as they happen. It's all to easy to forget when one's in the middle of it but times and dates could be very important as the complaint gets progressed

((Hugs))
I would ring the CEO of the hospital and ask why such an ill man was being sent home unsafely, repeatedly.
Hi Faye ... for what it's worth ... a Google or any other search ... UNSAFE HOSPITAL DISCHARGES ... will bring up some very good guidance from the NHS / Nursing Times / Government Ombudsman to name just three.

I hope that helps in the predicament not of your making , nor choosing.
Thank you for your kind responses - it means a lot. When I get a minute I will take it up with others. I've just got to get his care sorted as a priority. Dad was discharged on Saturday again and the carers didn't come out until Sunday. I've just had a text from one of the carers to say they've got flu and can't come in the morning, when I am meant to be in work but he has to be got ready for dialysis. I have called social services and the care agency to get cover but had to leave messages on their answer phones. It all just feels so hopeless. I feel like I will have to give up my job but then I will have nothing.
