Hi All,

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter.
I am going down to the hospital this afternoon to wash and blowdry my Mum's hair for her.
Have made a easter basket and filled it with little eggs, to put in the TV lounge for the other patients to share.
There are some very ill people down there, my Mums mood is now back to being happy again thank goodness. Its just the short term memory that has to helped if possible.

People don't always understand mental health illness, some of the people there, shout talk about silly things. They don't know that they are doing it. A vistor the other day commented, what a terrible carry on one of the patients was making, she was saying this to me. My reply was they are very ill,and you must feel sorry for them.

Its ok if you break a leg etc, but something in your head folks can't see or understand where it s all coming from.
Some of the things my Mum did and said when she was very ill were terrible, but as a family we know she does not mean it. She would not remember at this moment in time what she did.
Thats my rambling for today. Best Wishes Sonia xx

What a lovely idea Image You are star!!!

I totally agree with you about other people who do not understand about mental illness. I do not wish any one to go through what I and my husband experienced, but there are some people, very unfortunately, until it happends to them they cannot be imaginative...

Wishing you all for peaceful Easter.

How true Fluffycat, you've hit

How true Fluffycat, you've hit the nail on the head. Even GP's cant seem to get their heads around mental illness. It's a nightmare to live with. My Jill has suffered all her life with it.
Folks cant understand how someone so beautiful can have anything wrong with them. It's a lonely road, even our family dont really understand.

Take care Sonia, were all here for you,

Pete
