CARERS GET MENTION ON RADIO 4

I had to get up at 05-00 this morning ive got LAURA round as she is ill and her mam is at work so with LAURA off school she is with me .
The old doll is her self not very well at all she has diverticulitus and its playing up this week any way she asked for me to walk her to bathroom this morning at 5 AM i was sleping on sofa bed as the old doll had asked for help twice through the night i did not want to disturb LAURA.
As i waited for her decided to put radio on and at about 05-30 this rather nice lady was talking about carers she pointed out that many carers are in fact WIVES,HUSBANDS and even DAUGHTERS(you dont say) she informed them that help was available in the form of CARERS ALLOWANCE ,INCOME SUPPORT & CARER PREMIUM. i must admit dont know who this person was she may have been from cares uk for all i know, she was only on for a minute at most but surely she cold have made the point about the LOW LEVEL of carers allowance but what annoyed me most was that someone was recomending carers allowance to people when on this forum and other places many carers expect the allowance to be stopped or reformed in such a way that many carers would lose out.
If i had a full / part time job no way would i give up work with the threat of carers allowance being stopped in near future i would sit tight and wait for review and use social services to do what we as taxpayers are paying them for that is to care for elderly people in their own homes and allow the to keep their independence thats what GORDON BROWN said after he was appointed P.M.
