Hello,
I’m new and new to caring. For the last year I’ve cared for my secondary school age son during a severed debilitating mental illness - it’s a chronic condition. He also has autism
I’m hoping to connect with similar carers in Scotland. I’ve begged Camhs for practical help and the local child and families social work department for support. They are assessing him but it’s taking months and , I’m sorry to say, I don’t have a life anymore. I can’t work or spend time with my other children.
Is anyone else experiencing their CFSW team dragging their heels?
I’ve complained but no meaningful response nor any social work support given.
