Hi Ange and John l care for my daughter who has Autism,cerebal ataxia and learning disabilities l know the cerebal ataxia is a form of cerebal palsy she is unsteady on her feet had a few falls but l have got to let her try she uses a wheelchair for distance but it affects every part of her her swallowing reflexes her balance co-ordination she tends to choke a lot when she is eating and she also has epilepsy she has just turned 21 on the 5th March but she enjoys life to the best of her ability and l try and push for her to do as much as she can

Hello Jean, I agree let them try, as I do and as Anges mum and dad have done too. Always nice to hear from other people with the same challenges. Ange Does tend to choke sometimes when eating, she had the saliva gland reversal a few years ago which helped greatly with dryness, part of which I think has something to do with the swallowing.

Ange is loosing some of her mobilty at the moment but is hoping to have Botox Treatment on a spasming muscle, hopefully it will give her some more freedom.

Hi Ange and John I have Cerebral Ataxia, Charcot Marie Tooth Disease and Epilepsy.

I have been having botox injection for 'contracting muscles' in my arm they usually work for 3-4 months I have them six monthly - I wear splints which are a lot more comfy after!

I hope you have had a good Easter bfn xx
