Hi Gizmo

I'm not too well up on dementia but most brain disorders are caused by chemical imbalances - it depends on what chemicals are out of whack! This link http://www.alzheimers.org.uk/site/scrip ... mentID=100 should lead you to the Alzheimer's Society website's factsheet on Alzheimer's: this also refers to chemical imbalances. It seems you might do well to write some questions for the specialist and ask a nurse to make sure s/he gets them, if you can't get an appointment time that works for you.
Hi Gizmo it sounds like the endorphins in the brain, an inbalance basically means the brain is not producing enough, I pressume they will treating her antiphyschotic to try and rectify this. If they will not tell you anything try and find out what drugs they are giving her, and if you would like me to I will try to help further.
