Swimming Baths Question

Postby Terry_1701 » Thu Jan 05, 2017 8:02 pm

Hi there,
the gentleman I care for loves water slides at swimming pools but cannot enjoy them fully as he quickly gets tired climbing the stairs or, if there are ramps available and we use his wheelchair, he gets quickly bored with this.
It's a shame because he loves the thrill of the slides.
Does anyone know if there are any baths in the UK that have a lift system so that the swimmer can be transported from ground level to the place where the water slide(s) starts? Ideally this would be in the North of England but if not we could plan a holiday based on other locations.
Any ideas welcome :-)
Thanks,
Terry

Sorry, i don't. Might be worth contacting some of the adventure holiday for the disabled type places, they might be able to help or even suggest new pastimes.

I care for S, who is 25. (I have cared for him since he was 9.) He has classic autism, epilepsy, IBS & sensory modulation difficulties. When he is anxious his behaviour can be challenging, he communicates using a Dynavox.
