Hi all,
Any one else heard of this?
My neighbour has had some work done through this - new windows, roof refurbished and gave me the details, so thought I'd share as it could be of interest to some of you.

Our windows are over 20 years old (ex council house) and we have terrible problems with condensation. New windows were far too expensive for us, - £3,000 seemed like a huge mountain!
With help from this fund, we are having the windows refurbished - new 'A' rated glass, seals etc (frames are sound) for a fraction of the cost, and this fund pays a third of the cost for you, plus, you don't have to have everything done at once, we are getting the upstairs done first, then when we have enough money again, downstairs will be done.
The bloke that came wasn't like a 'normal' salesman, no phone the office for a better price rubbish, and he was the one to suggest a refurb instead of all new windows to help with the price.

There are many things they will help with, as long as it improves the energy saving aspect.
You just have to own the home.
I'll let you know how we get on.
dont forget if/when you sell or move on the new owners have to "pick up the bill" you pay back from the energy you / they are supposed to save. and you must have a good line of credit, no help for the poor with previous debt issues...
I've heard of it where I live, but I was wondering were the ''catch'' was (if indeed there is one)
