Help......not having played a board game other than Scrabble for years I am now in search of something which would be suitable for four adults, one 99 year old with sight/hearing problems (but she usually shares with me) and a seven year old. Something that doesn't include any jumping about.
So far I have come up with Cluedo or Monopoly but see there are so many different types out there. Not computer based please. This is literally a whole new board game for me.
Can anyone help please? Have you have a success with a board game at Christmas and which one to include all family members and all ages.
What about Trivial Pursuit ? It's a general knowledge board game; it comes with cards that cover a wide range of subjects. You can also get a version with cards suitable for children (easier questions).

Thanks Susie....I didn't know Trivial Pursuit came in a child's version. That sounds like an excellent good all rounder.

If yu decide to buy the standard version I'm pretty sure you can buy just the cards of the children's version as an "extra" (uses the same board) so that might be idea to cover all abilities ?
We've got the adult version, somewhere! I'll try and dig it out of the loft.
Thanks S.....do you want to come and play.

We could do with him. He's obviously got a box at home and knows the questions and answers off by heart. The unfortunate thing is - any questions to do with television we come unstuck - because we don't have one. You must wonder what we do all night....especially with these dark nights drawing in! Ha.....we know the art of conversation in our house!
