Its good to have a positive thread here as well as serious stuff
Trying to do the laundry. Lots of socks and underwear to cope with and laughing at myself dropping and picking up and dropping and picking up etc. all the way downstairs.

Then a repeat performance while heading for the clothes line.

The 'one that got away' was found lurking behind the rail of the stairlift.
Only one escaped.............you got off lightly mate.
Well this just goes to show I don't get out enough but ................................ I've been living in our current house for about six years and it's needed redecorating and a good shampoo of the carpets for about the last four. And, of course, there's just never enough time or energy to get on with big jobs like that so it's got worse and worse and just generally driven me mad. But today I managed to get both bedrooms stripped and repainted, got one carpet cleaned and can do the others tomorrow (before the carpet cleaner has to be returned). Also got some money from a charity for some bedroom furniture for my son, so have ordered him a new bed and mattress, which means I can have his old bed and will no longer have to sleep on a sofabed! Still a lot more to do but I've broken the back of it and the rest of the house is easier to do a bit at a time (plus downstairs is wooden floors so no more carpets to shampoo there). So yes, obviously I sign that I need to get out more, but I was just upstairs looking at freshly painted walls and a nice clean carpet and it made me smile :)
Well done Mwc. :)

I think I've found the reason why I don't smile so much.

However, it was a warm night and was still wide awake at 3.30 this morning. So I got up, got dressed and went shopping in Asda. Apart from the staff, I was the only one there. Parked by the door, no mad dash, just ambled around (almost enjoying it), I'm sure the music was louder than daytime and no checkout queues. Brilliant. :)
An unexpected phone call from a friend. :)
Meeting up with an old friend for the first time.

(it sounds strange but it's true)
Ditto Sprinter. :)
