Our daughter did the race for life this morning, with one of her best friends in 44minutes. They came back beaming. So proud of her especially as it looks like her Dad's cancer is back, we'll find out tomorrow. So she ran with his picture on her back and some lovely words. :D
What a great thing for you daughter to do, Chicken Lady, I do hope it's good news for you tomorrow though, must be very difficult waiting for the results.

I will sound very boring for saying this, but the thing that made me smile today was clearing out the cupboard under the stairs. Yes, I know, I need to get out more, but I've been meaning ot do it for ages, mostly junk under there, I don't know why I keep a lot of the stuff that I do, it just sits in a cupboard for a year and then it goes to the charity shop.
My two year old grandson is using new words every day. Todsy he picked up his little watering can, walked towards the outside tap, and asked for "water".
My son posted a video on face book of the 3 grandkids having fun in the large paddling pool. Splashing and jumping around. Then when they realised they were being filmed, the antics turned to little diva's and showoffs.........lol
Taking Tillydog out for a walk and watching her run from one tree shaded area to the next in an effort to keep cool. Clever dog.

*Note: not been out yet today. Too early.
I was tiyding the window box outside the front, when someone from the council praised my efforts to make our block look netted. :D :D
Helped a lady off a train with heavy luggage and actually was thanked.... a rare thing these days
David, Sadly, I think both are rare - thoughtful people like yourself who are willing to help and polite people who remember their manners.

The silly conversation S and I had this afternoon whilst relaxing and how sparkly the water in the barrel water feature looks since I scrubbed it out this morning.
