Weather in the UK this year

Agreed the weather is totally mad this year !

Yesterday morning was bright and sunny and a lot warmer than of late - then - at about 4pm, there was the most almighty clap of thunder (it was so loud the whole house shook - myself and a few neighbours came running out of our homes thinking it was an explosion !), then 5 minutes later it started to rain and hail. The hail stones were so big and heavy that there are still some in the garden this morning

I've heard that Monday is expected to be unusually sunny and warm, for February. They are predicting it might reach 17 degrees C (around 60 degrees F, I think?), in southern England, so might be quite spring like. I hope to potter about in my garden and enjoy the long awaited sunshine.
