I used to belong to the local Venture Scout Group, and we ended up in a pub after the official meeting was over. I married their Assistant Leader!

"Be prepared."
This year Albert will be providing the Christmas cracker jokes.
Albert, you make me smile!!! Thanks xx
nhshater, Wychwood sounds darn good to me! I love the Hob Goblin dark ale and all the others they do.
A drop of Courage Best is good as is our local brewer Teign Brewery. Reel Ale, Old Moggy and Spring Tide.
I'll bring them along for you to sample.
Jill's bought me a bottle of Mount Gay Rum which I'm going to bring too! :woohoo: :silly:
Aye Peter the Paint - I'll join in - Sheppy's Cider is not too far from me - I shall call in and collect some on my way..... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Mary I'm not a cider drinker unfortunately, but I'll give a good go with your help! :woohoo:

Do I need to bring more food like a turkey for BB to slam in her huge oven? Maybe some eggnog whatever that is?
Anyone know? The Yanks are forever banging on about it on the Christmas films.
Sounds awful to me, like that horrid yellow drink from Holland, is it? Cant think of the name of it?
Advocaat Pete? I knew an ancient little old lady, in her nineties I think, still living alone. She swore a glass of advocaat every day was the key to good health. I can't "switch off" tonight, lists buzzing round my head when everything is under control for Monday. It's only me and my two boys so no trouble at al, just a normal roast dinner. My only extras are bread sauce and chestnut stuffing, which I'll probably just do on the day with the aid of my Magimix, rather than the day before like I used to.
We are having a pre prepared turkey dinner from Aldi. Every thing in one package to micro wave.

Including parsnips and cranberry sauce. Just 2 plates to wash up ! :)
Our is being delivered fresh from Ducky Delish a private meals on wheels company that delivers freshly cooked food straight to your door. Tastes like home cooked too!
Advocaat thats it BB awful stuff, but what the heck is ''EGGNOG'' when its at home?
