State pension inequality: What will you do to help women born in the '50s, who are struggling as they weren't told in time that their state pensions would be delayed?

6,732 votes (63 %) it's already got the highest percentage.
Hello to all the Carers whom have been affected by the Governments change to state pension age.
I've had a quick look over all of the replies and here is a little information that some may not know about.

Also like many women, I sent all of the template letters over a period of a few months (WASPI) and my complaint was accepted by the ICE (Independent Case Examiner) team. In Dec 2018 I received a letter and this is what it stated:

We have recently been informed that the high court has granted permission for a Judicial Review to proceed relating to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) handling of the change to women's state Pension age.

Since it is not within The Independent Case Examiner's remit to consider issues which are, or have been, subject to legal proceedings we are no longer in a position to proceed with the investigation of your complaint with this office has been closed.

Checked by year of birth on labour's web site re: compensation.

This followed today with an email from the labour party. Asking had I voted or was undecided or will not be voting labour.

Interesting, way to find out how the information re:possible compensation. Has gone down and if it has influenced our decision to give our votes to the labour party.

I am one of those who stand to gain the most but I am not voting Labour. They are full of empty promises and will just say (as they said to students re tuition fees) "sorry we can't do that now as it's costing more than we thought."
Like most " Eye catching issues " out there , all now subject to the political element prior to 12 December.

In short , your vote is needed and ... promises / commitments galore to gain it.

A GREEN PAPER ... the only starting gun ... when said paper is introduced into the House.

Anything before then , enough hot air to power a whole squadron of balloons ?
The problem is all parties are full of hot air. You can't believe any of them.

UK government to integrate all rights in UN CEDAW Convention into domestic law.

ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN, NOW AND FOREVER'

https://www.change.org/p/mps-uk-governm ... mestic-law

In 1986 the UK government ratified the UN Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). It gives rights to UK women & obligates government to advance women's lives, recognising past inequalities & remedying them. Its provisions must become part of domestic law.

Please sign time is ticking by. We are being left behind. Many of us women are carers. I still have three years before my pension.
