Smelly washing machine-found a solution!

Hello to all Carer's here

I never put anything other than Surf Liquid, Lenor/comfort or brown dettol in my washing machine.
Over time I have tried Dettol washing machine cleaner amongst other things to clean it.

Last month I bought a bottle of Calgon green liquid it cost £3.99. You can use it after so many washes or monthly on it's own which I have done and I could not believe it when after using it twice the smell has gone!

So I will use it once a month without any washing because we have sensitive skin, so I wouldn't use it on a wash cycle.

It can be added to your laundry.

I am so pleased that I have discovered this and thought I would share it.

I've never tried it, but will bear that in mind. Once in a while I use washing soda for the same purpose.

Luckily my washing machine automatically switches to clean after 40 washes. I can override if needed but I usually use it on that day. No cleaner etc in the machine. Seems to work.

If your washing machine gets really smelly. Here is a tip from my book How Clean Is Your House? Fill a cup of washing soda crystals, and then pour in a bottle of white vinegar. Put your machine on the hottest setting. It is important that you use an empty drum. The white vinegar cleans and eliminates mould and limescale. And most importantly the smell. I hope this tip helps.

You could also add 2 cups of vinegar and run empty cycle
