If I'd seen your post yesterday, I'd have said "not for the last few months, but sleep has been a stranger for most of my life"...

Today, well....let's just say things are back to normal after a few months off!

Although I drink a lot of coffee, that's a morning thing and up until no later than around 4pm. After that, no caffeine. I read before settling down to sleep, ideally before I get to the stage of re-reading the same paragraph between spells of eyes closing...if that happens and I get up to go to bed I've had it. Wide awake!

Hello SalinaS

It might be worth ruling out sleep apnoea. As people become heavier this condition seems to be on the rise but of course, even if you're quite slim, this disorder can be a problem. When I was diagnosed I spoke with a woman who was very slim and she'd developed it. Ask yourself what amount and what quality of sleep, when it arrives eventually, you're getting.

Best wishes, David
When I was disabled after a car accident, sleep was very difficult. Try forgetting about sleep and concentrating on just resting instead. Stretch out and tense then relax your muscles. Also , mentally go for a walk or swim in your favourite place, in "real time". Step by step, open the door, shut the door, down the path...I do this at the dentist. For me it's the best ever beach in outback Western Australia! Alternatively, as I love dressmaking, I make a dress in my head, bit by bit. It's now gone midnight, I've been sorting out some sewing things this evening, which means I should sleep well tonight.
