Grief-stricken daughter, 69, 'died of a broken heart' say neighbours after her body is found next to her dead mother, 107

Very sad Image shed some tears reading it.
Hi Royd

This is very sad indeed. As a carer of almost 20 years, now lost my caree I can confirm that the death of the caree is totally devastating and heartbreaking. I am totally redundant now. No-one to care for and no-one to employ someone who had been out of the job market for 20 years and should be retired had the Government not changed the retirement age. I have wondered if I have a purpose to my life now. I noted some of the comments on line and one person thought the old lady should have gone into a Home. People both carer and caree are scared of Homes because of their reputations. It may even be that the younger lady did actually die of a broken heart or perhaps she was kept going by her mother's need of her and when her mum no longer needed her she just dropped dead. Ill health had taken a great toll on me since the loss of my caree, I have 5 "rest of my life" conditons diagnosed after the loss of caree. I will have to get through this on my own as my children will never be carers after what they have seen.
This in the week when a wealthier person was cared for round the clock in a posh hotel. Soemthing to be looked at there.

Duncaring
So sad indeed, I agree 100% with Duncaring, I after caring many years now
find myself questioning my existence all the time. such a sad story, imagine
107 too, god help the lady in bed for years. and the daughter, not much of
a life , as we all know only too well.
