If we are going anywhere I'm not sure of I always put my SatNav on, I have been caught out too many times with Paul saying he will tell me where to go as he doesnt speak he just waves his arms to where I am supposed to be, it drives me insane!

I rely on my Sat Nav for my work as I visit between ten and twenty addresses a day. I have a lovely Irish lady - a radio presenter and comedienne apparently in her real life - on my Tom Tom, and she says things like: "Take a U turn. You'll have done dat before!" or "At the roundabout, take the toird exit. Are you listen'in? " Shes lovely, I truly enjoy that light banter, it makes every journey an adventure.

I've never had one and wouldn't know how to use one.
I just study the map before a journey I dont know, write down the towns and follow my nose. I'm always going wrong though. It really gets on Jill's nerves!!

Satnavs take the fun out of going to new places.

Totnes in Devon is the worst place for SatNavs going haywire. It's a very spiritual place. Full of hippie type folk and alternative living types.
They say it's criss crossed with 'lay lines' and this is what causes the problem. They just dont work there at all.
My mates went haywire when he took us through there, showing off his new SatNav. We'd have ended up in the river Dart if we'd listened to her! On the way back she just shut up completely until we were out of the town. Very strange.
