Little wins
What a great thing to do sorting that out and all the surprises in there.
You don't need permission, go for it, be your own best friend and pat yourself on the back - well who else is going to do it?!

Sometimes it is the little things that are easily overlooked as just a daily thing
That's plenty to be pleased about.

Tuesday I popped out, glorious day, beautiful countryside and I am allowed to drive and to go out alone in our country, I was so grateful for such independence.

Several plus years ago I had extreme exhaustion, burnt out, numb, blank, total shutdown of sorts. Not even the energy for music. Phone and computer off. A friend encouraged me to do 3 positives of the day - I was blank and numb, so she suggested family are well, the sun shone - it was November!
The process worked, slowly, gradually as I got more rest and more energy to the point of having at least half a dozen to choose from by the time I was returning to work!

When I think about it, at work or in any situation, you look for the positives in a crisis, what can be worked on and salvaged etc but do we such things with ourselves? No we just deal with the situation with not a thought about ourselves.

I was brought up to to be grateful for the things I have and the simple and the little things in life.
When I need to ground myself, if mother is really ill, I do 3 things to be grateful for or 3 positives of the day. For me it brings back a smile and keeps me upbeat and encourages me.
I have narrowly avoided death twice. Now I'm grateful for every day.

I love watching the clouds, the birds, and check up daily on my plants.
(One lot of runner beans did well while I was away, the second not so well, and the third look beyond redemption).
I have my sewing machines and can sew.
I have a house that is warm in winter and a combi boiler that gives unlimited hot water for showers.
My bed is comfortable.

Whilst I love travelling, seeing new people and places, I don't need to do any of these to feel content.
Breezey, I do something similar to this - I think of ten things I am grateful/thankful for before I nod off to sleep ... helps me to stop thinking about what needs doing/ is worrying me etc

Yesterday's were things like I'm grateful that we are no longer on the noisy estate, S waking with lower stress and refreshed after his sleep, dear Poppy keeping me company, the smell of my morning coffee, that I made progress with a job that needs doing, the beautiful trees I can see from our garden, the warmth of the sun, the pleasure in my plants growing, the two funny wood pigeons sat on the fence like an old married couple and the most delicious dinner.

Melly is great to see you so content and happy at your new place.
We are in a quiet village and there is so much I am grateful for here.

3 positives about me today - but the day is so young yet!
