I keep reading of sad losses.

People dying.

It makes me shed a tear.

My heart goes out to all those who suffered a loss.
Hugs and kisses.
Sometimes, I think to myself that anyone who visits here would think we were a right miserable bunch.

If we haven't lost someone, or are suffering depression, it's something else that's going wrong for us. Yet we bravely soldier on because it's all we know.

Hugs to one and all
It's upsetting, I know. And we've had a really bad year for this sort of bad news.

But by golly the support everyone gives is just amazing - and that's why we all keep coming back.
It has been a bad year I agree Charles, I guess as Carers its bound to happen at times but we all pull together and have great support
Its always sad and painful to read about it and, yes there does seem to have been a lot recently.
Unfortunately we will be carers pretty much to the end when either it becomes to much for us, or the relationship is broken by death.
Its part of the cycle of life.

PS For a miserable old site we have quite a lot of laughs.
I agree, we have had a terrible sad year, but the support and friendship here is immeasurable. Hugs to all xx
We look after each other through good times and bad. x x
Gary, where else could you possibly get the sort of support and information you can find here? Sometimes you can get an answer in less than five minutes from someone who has already met the same problem as you, and found a solution. Not many non carers would have a clue about the intricacies of catheters and hospital beds etc. etc. and wouldn't want to either (well we'd prefer not to get involved with them too, if we are brutally honest, but many of us have no choice in the matter). It's little short of a carers encyclopaedia of anything and everything, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, updated hundreds of times a week. If you're stuck in the house for long periods, at least you don't feel quite so alone with some of the harmless fun bits of the site, like the record collections for example. It's always very sad when caring comes to an end, I've lost four loved ones in recent years, but we can support each other going through these events too, and trying to find a normal life again afterwards.
We might cry a lot sometimes Gary, but we do laugh a lot here too.
And the important thing is we do it together.

I agree with Blue
