I just wondered if anyone who uses Freeview (not Freesat, cable or sky) could tell me whether they can still receive channel 19- Yesterday? After 2 new digital aerials relocated in several different places including top of high pole plus amplifier plus 4G filter I still can't get channel 19. I know it is available on Freesat but Dad would never manage 101 for BBC 1! He struggles with just button 1 never mind 3 in a row LOL. I know I am in a bad reception area.
Thanks
Channel 19 works fine here must be in your area.
Hi Henrietta

this might be useful

Thanks -looks like I'm stuck with no channel 19. It says 20 channels in this area which is totally rubbish.
Have you tried re-tuning the TV Henrietta?
I live in an area of poor reception and find I have to re-tune it pretty regularly.
Yes more than a thousand times ! Wish it was that simple.
Did you have it before at your Dad's?

Hi Melly
Yes we used to get it. I thought that it may have been next door's large tree getting even bigger and blocking it but that has come down now and no change. Still not able to get channel 19
Henrietta I notice there is a telephone number at the bottom of the page on the link I gave you; perhaps it might be worthwhile ringing them ?

Do you mean 'Yesterday' which is on Freeview's channel 19? The reason I ask is because the tuning channel is not the same as the viewing channel.

Also channels 101, 102, 103, 104 etc are just channels 1, 2, 3, 4 etc in HD mode so your Dad can just keep using the SD channels.

Not everyone gets all the Freeview channels, most people will get over 40 but some may get as few as 20.

In your case it could well be the transmitter that no longer transmits Channel 19 as not all transmitters transmit all the Freeview channels..
