I am off to a real Christmas party tonight and i don't think it will be a patch on this one :D
No mermaids :(
, no calorie free food :(
ANd no polar bears!! Have fun MrsA.

Actually, I am SERIOUSLY fretting about those bears. FRiendly bears huh? Oh yeah????? How did you manage that then.....I am getting a wee bit suspicious. DRugged perhaps? Being pro-active here. I have contacted the WWF. They are gonna check the bears out. Apparently if they assess them as having mental capacity to decide what they eat - even if it's People - they have the right to do so. If they really and truly have been sedated for any reason other than a medical intervention that is a Deprivation of Liberty Issue and will need prompt investigation. Along with physical and mental abuse issues. :(

YOu guys go have fun but Not at the expense of vulnerable bears....unless you can provide adequate proof that no bears have been harmed??
Anyway, a life without an element of danger will throw your hormones out of line. We Carers are used to running on adrenaline highs, a sudden change could result in self harm.
Don't say I didn't warn you.

;)
Did we put board games on the list?
I'd love Trivial Pursuits and Scrabble, ooh and charades
Count me in! I luvva good knees-up  & I've got loads of moozic programmes saved on Mum's telly visual contraption so I'll bring those. It's mainly 60s & 70s but there's country, classic & rock (Joan Armatrading's just been on) actually anything but jazz or opera.

Got to have twiglets & if we're talking crimbly breakfast, I'll have cornflakes with the cream from a pint of gold top - the proper one mind! None of that stuff they try to pass off as Jersey these days  (uh-oh...I'm turning into my grandma :!: )
Nice bit of pork loin with the kidney still attached & a lump of crackling, chicken breast, lamb & sirloin of beef served with roasted parsnips & fluffy crispy spuds, all the veggies, yorkie puds, thick-ish gravy, mint sauce, apple sauce, suet duff for lunch...spotted d1ck for afters!
Tunis cake, rich iced fruit cake & black forest gateau for tea, cold cuts & pickles for supper.

JD, dark rum, proper farm scrumpy, voddie, mild shandy, fostas ice, Great Uncle Cliff's homemade wines - especially the elderberry!
I see I have competition for the Ah dorrrr ribble Gibbs *swoon*

I love NCIS! And the New Orleans branch with Pride & co..not so much LA but Hettie & the computer guy are fine :) Could not get into CSI:Miami - I wanted to slap Horatio with a wet kipper, I despised his ruddy sunglasses that much! - but the others were fine, alongside Bones of course.

If it's Ok with you, I'd like to bring a guest or three? I'm pretty sure they will contribute to the Occasion in some way or another...Robbie, Keith & Shane, Sam (Brown), Micky Rob & Adam,... Sandi & Alan D, Larry, Olly & Rylan, JSP, Grayson & Mary P. Some will sing, others joke but all would be great conversationalists.

We could play that game where you pass an orange to a team mate, using only your chin & neck area :woohoo: Bagsie I get Steve McQueen on my team, cuz we can paint his baseball & use that, before he lets me ride his bike round the island beach & drive the Corvette across the snow!

Who shops in weightrose, cuz we should stock up on their Essentials to take back for the Bears....
Cynthia, thanks for thinking of the bears !!!,
It seems I have just arrived in time for the trifle.

Is skinny-dipping available on the island? Is it also true that as you pass Customs to the island, you lose two stone? If so count me in :D

Got some champagne in the work raffle so will be bringing that too, with a couple of young men to carry the bottle!

Yes, you definitely lose weight as you arrive, but with all the goodies on offer I can't promise that it will stay that way

by the way are the young men good at waving palm fans and generally looking 'pretty' ?

Most of the male-type persons I've invited to join us are most definitely of the eye candy variety ;)

Excellent idea to party here; no trouble finding enough fridge space to keep things cool because who can resist a lovely cold lager after doing the 7" version of Agga-Doo
Did someone mention Black Forest Gateau?!?! Yes please, it was one of my favourites when I worked in Switzerland, there was this fantastic coffee shop and as leader of the walking group, the guests at the Chalet would always treat me. It was absolutely wonderful.
